My kids are big Mario fans so they love playing with the characters. We’ve played chess a few times but it’s hard to figure out what character’s what chess position. My kids love it and play with it everyday.

For all nintendo fans, and those that are not, playing chess as mario and Bowser is definitely fun. The figures are well crafted and durable. The level of detail is amazing too. I definitely reccommend this chess set.

My son received this set for christmas this year. he does not play chess or show interest in learning he wanted it for the character pieces. he loves it and plays with it every day. the chess pieces are of wonderful quality, they are not cheap plastic but a sturdy, solid rubber. the pieces are also true to the characters in the mario video games. just a wonderful set and worth every penny.
