The picture shows the nice gold model. What I recieved wasn’t even close to that! I got some white cheap model! Amazon is refunding my money, but be careful when you buy!!!

I’ve had mine for five or six years and I’m quite obsessed with it. I’ve played probably several thousand games on it (high score 738!), smacked it against the wall when its pissed me off, kissed it when its been nice, obsessed over the hairy dice probabilities, and appreciated the crisp, functional design every time I use it.
Only major beef: no “undo” button, so if you hit the wrong score by mistake you’re screwed. Luckily that seldom happens, and this thing more than makes up for it with a number of small considerate features built into the interface.
For instance, when you go to select where to put the score, if you make a mistake and select “Full House” when you meant to select “Small Straight,” the machine displays the score you’ll get. So if you see “0″ when it should be “30″ that’s a good warning to change your selection before you hit the “Score” button. Once you hit the button you’re committed, but at least there’s a bit of an advance warning available.
Other good:
1. You can use it one-handed with either hand, so if you’re holding a drink or a sleeping baby (or both, it you’re that type), it’s still playable.
2. Beautifully designed interface, quick to learn and use, very intuitive. Would that all handheld games were this good!
3. VERY long battery life. I’ve probably changed the batteries (2 AAAs) two or three times over six years and thousands of games.
4. Tough. Mine’s an older model; I don’t know if the new ones are quite as durable. But this thing has dropped on stone bathroom floors (and ricocheted off walls) more times than I can remember and it’s still going strong.
A few of the buttons have become touchy with age and use, but at this price I have absolutely no complaints. HIGHLY recommended!

okay so I’m a computer geek who admittedly is addicted to high tech games, fantasy worlds,slaying dragons,etc.
I bought this game for my neice thinking to divert her attention on the occasion when I babysit.
Imagine my surprise when I myself became addicted to it (yes I had to order another one for her…er me (sheepish grin).
I highly recommend this one. I take it everywhere when I have to wait and wait…auto shop, doctors office, yes even in a long checkout line at the grocery store (you can turn off the sound..I’m not *that* anti-social).
Anyway, you wont regret your purchase.
