  • cheaply made and another gimect for our kids to get hooked on and no educational value

  • hey, these mcfarlanes are awesome!

BUT, I would like to see better paint jobs on the heads (well, bodies too, but that is more forgivable since the heads are most important)

The quality of the paint jobs on the Halo figures is usually good, but more often than not, there are MAJOR issues leading me to either be frustrated, or have to touch up the paint jobs myself, and after paying big bucks for these figs, that’s usually not going to make me happy…..

Recon is awesome, paint jobs are not.

5 stars for the figure, 2 stars for the paint jobs……

  • I am over 13 but my son is not. I was very unhappy with this toy because it was broken instantly. The right hand came off as soon as my son moved the arm and the body armor was pressed in place but one of the pegs was not in the hole so it was smashed and the armor set off the chest significantly. I thought it was just a bad figure but he also got the rookie figure at the same time (Christmas presents) and it broke just as easily.

  • OK. Let me say that I got it today (I did the one day shipping) and got it as promised. The toy seemed very durable, but after reading these reviews, I don’t want to take a chance. I have ordered several of these (not the same Recon). I’m the type of person who won’t play with these, but I put mine on display on my bookshelf and it fits in quite nicely with my other Halo 3 figures. Now, I’ve heard complaints about not being able to put the Magnum in the trigger hand, and the other hand the Magnum just falls out, which is true. But all you have to do to get the Magnum in the trigger hand is to work at it a bit. But once it’s in, it’s in there for good (unless you work at it a bit). But you have to have patience. The killionare medal is actually what I have his left leg standing on. Once you find a pose for him (I have his right leg behind his left, a Magnum in his trigger hand and on his right leg, his arm with the Magnum bent up, and his head looking to the right (so when you see him he is looking at you). I am planning to get more of these and put them with the rest of my collection. Well worth the money. Oh, and I’ve heard a lot of people say that the arms and legs break, but that’s only if you have a young kid who’s going to be slamming it around a lot. For collectors: this is a must-have. For players: this is not so good. And my dog banged into the bookshelf and the figure fell off but stayed in position, so that’s my proof it’s durable. Overall rating: 5 stars. But like I said, I don’t think it would be a good idea to give it to a 7 year old or something like that.

  • I have had this figure for three months and i found it at fry’s for a great price. so far absolutely nothing has broke, and i have had no problems with the build of this figure, except that it’s paint job is rather shoddy. overall it’s a good buy!
