First, this should be included with the purchase of any trike. Raise the price of the trike, and include this, because no small child should be learning to ride a trike without some sort of restraint system.

Second, the seatbelt isn't simple to install...and it's even more difficult to attach if you have already assembled the entire trike. Lesson learned.

Third, how about some slightly more detailed instructions? I mean, I consider myself a fairly smart individual, but
I felt like I needed a PhD in deciphering poorly written "instructions" (pictures, really) just to make sure that I got this right. And how about the couple of spare parts that are for a different model bike? Might want to mention that in the instructions.

I purchased this seatbelt/harness for use on my son's kettrike tricycle. It's design is functional but unfortunately, a little too simple. Instead of having a clasp on the center belt (the one that comes up from the center/bottom of the seat) into which the individual horizontal belts could connect to, the center belt has a loop in the end that you must thread the horizontal belts through. When Jr. wants to ride his fancy new tricycle and your still fumbling with the harness, things can get ugly. Lastly, this belt is made in China unlike the tricylce itself which was also dissapointing.

We purchased the Kettler 3-point harness seatbelt for our daughter's Radio Flyer tricycle after reading that it was compatible.....however when we received it, it could not be used as a 3-point harness seatbelt without making additional cuts & holes in the tricycle seat. Good idea to make a seatbelt, but Radio Flyer needs to make one that fits their tricycles.

Let me understand this; I paid $230 for a TRICYCLE and it doesn't come with this seatbelt? It is shameful that Kettler charges extra for this and makes me wish I hadn't given them my money in the first place. I did not purchase this item and do not plan to; My 18-month old son has had this bike for 3 weeks and there has never been a need for this item. He has three friends with this trike (all between the ages of 23-26 months) and none of them use the seatbelt either.

I was hoping someone out there may know the answer to my question. Will this seatbelt fit Radio Flyer trikes or only Kettlers? I would really appreciate any help.
