  • my sister is having a little boy and has chosen to decorate the nursery in little builder decor and this goes great with that theme. I threw the baby shower and for decorations made several mini diaper cakes and used these tools along with various other items to decorate the cakes with… very cute!

  • LCB:

We bought this for our toddler son, who immediately dumped the toys out and put the clear, flexible plastic carrying case over his face and head. I’m concerned that the toolbox could present a suffocation hazard to babies and small toddlers who may not be strong or coordinated enough to remove the case from their faces. The clear plastic is attractive and fun for babies to look through and the toolbox is just the right size to cover their faces completely.

I am a big fan of Melissa & Doug’s products, but have noticed that they use this soft plastic material throughout the soft toy line that is marketed to babies and toddlers. We also have Monster Bowling, which has a similar case, but it is bigger and fits over my son’s entire head. It can also be zipped closed, the prospect of which I find very frightening. It would be much safer if they designed the carrying cases out of fabric or mesh.

  • We got this for our little man when he was a few months old and he fell in love. Once those teeth started coming out, the already loved toys became his best friends, especially the hammer. He still falls asleep holding it.

  • This is a great toy. My 18 month old son has had it for around 6 months and he plays with it at least 4 times a week. We love that it is soft – he puts EVERYTHING in his mouth. The drill is funny.

We also got this set for his cousin we liked it so much!

Not really sure that it is “educational”, but it sure is fun!

  • I got this tool set fro my two year old and the first thing he said was “Manny’s!” as in “handy Manny”. He loves this toy, especially the vibrating drill. He carts his tools around an “fixes” things all day long. I really recommend this. ALl melissa an doug toys are great!
