I have become kind of addicted to doing these mosaics. I am forever looking for the different pictures to do and I find this to be a great deal of fun. I am making these for different friends and Family members. I enjoy giving them so they can be put on the walls. They lik nice and I feel good for giving them away. The only problem that I find I have is that sometimes they do not give you enough mosaics to fully do all three or four of the pictures. I save the extras from each kit to use with the next kit. I have been shorted on mosaics for a picture and once, I was shorted a picture as them mistakenly gave me the same picture twice and once was missing.OTHERWISE, THESE ARE GREAT AND I LOVE THEM…I AM 48 YEARS OLD, NOT A KID FOR A LONG TIME….(LOL) THANK YOU! I bought this for my six year old son, as we were going out of town. He loves it. Likes this one in particular as it has little gems like pieces included (other he has had regular pieces). He plays this with his friends as well. You won’t be dissapointed.

My son is 9 1/2, and we got this for him for Christmas. He loved it, and finished all the pictures in 24 hours! He usually is not the best at concentrating and finishing tasks, but he did all these with no problem. I didn’t buy this specifically for this purpose, but he has some fine motor skills problem and I think this is a great craft to develop these fine motor skills in kids, as they have to pinch the tiny squares and glue it in the appropriate square. I am hoping to buy more of these for him, assuming I can find boy themes like this pirate one that really grabbed his attention.
Because it is color by number, it doesn’t leave a lot of room for creativity, which is why I gave it a 4 educationally. Obviously at the age of 9 he knows his number and can follow a pattern! I’d like to look and see if you can just by the sticky mosaic pieces and let the kids create something on their own.
