Pass the Popcorn Game: Be the first to guess the title of famous movies! You’ll be given cast names, character names, the story or a famous quote from the movie. Every player has a set of tiles to complete. Turn over your tiles by naming the movie first. For ages 6 and up…. More >>

In Pass the Popcorn, the objective is to correctly guess the title of a film based on various clues. For each film, you are given the release year and the genre. For example, “2006 Fantasy”. From there, a player is allowed one more clue to select – cast, characters, story, or quote. Cast gives two or three actors that appear in the film. Characters lists two or three character names. Story gives the general plot description. Quote gives a line of dialogue from the film.
Pass the Popcorn is not a game for film buffs, but more for the general passive moviegoer. Pop culture junkies who know a lot of the movie stars will easily be able to identify the film based on the given cast, and the story and quote categories often easily give away the film. I love the design of the game – it is simple to learn and fun to play with a small or large group. But it is just not challenging enough for the movie fans who would be most interested in playing a game like this.
Besides the main Pass the Popcorn game, there is another set of cards for a side game called Star Connection. For this, a card lists five movies. The objective is to guess which actor/actress appeared in all of them. Again, way too easy – most connections can be made after hearing the first 2 or 3 titles on any given card.

Really fun game, for all ages because the movies included are from different decades. The movie quotes are very well known and funny. I’ve played this game with my family, and with my friends, and it was a big hit with both parties.
