Would You Rather is too complicated to be fun, at least for our middle class, blue collar, beer drinking, crazy but happy family. Just too convoluted and silly, actually. The questions are inane and irrelevant and not funny. Other than that……..

I remember playing the original version and that was fun. This version still has some pretty good questions, but they are more for a broader audience. I played with just adults and we got bored. The directions are not very clear. I’m going to either give it to my sister or just hold onto it for the family get togethers.

Even if you don’t sit down to actually play the game, it is fun just to take the cards and use them for conversation starters. The questions really make you think because you don’t have a choice of “none of the above” – - you have to choose something from equally detestable options. There are a few questions that border on being overly sexual for family entertainment, but you can choose not to read those questions and move over them. Great fun, however. . . would be awesome to take on a road trip to make the time pass.

The version for youunger kids was well liked, so believe this one will be also.

My family has been playing “Would you rather” for years, and a lot longer before this board game became popular. So part of me is mad that I didn’t think of it first, and another part of me is really excited because its brought a classic game to life, and without all the brain power of having to think of your own questions! That is.. unless you get the challenge card.
The challenges and setup of the board is simple, but turns the game into a conversational ice-breaker that is tons of fun, without complicated rules to explain. You might be trying to decide which Would You Rather choice the group would most likely choose or you might be trying to make up your own question in hopes it’ll get mixed responses.. or even zany challenges like doing an interpretive dance as a cat pouncing on a mouse.
Besides just being silly and fun, I was actually surprised by some of my family and friends responses to the questions. You realize how different everyone is just when you thought everyone agreed that they’re rather eat 5 lemons whole like an apple than a bowl of cat food.
